Nerve Biopsy (Epidermal Nerve Fiber Density - ENFD)

This test is utilized to assess the nerve fibers within the surface of skin layers. Based on microscopic analysis of the skin sample, it will help us diagnosis the neuropathy and better direct treatment options for your symptoms related to neuropathy.

What to expect?

Biopsy would be performed with local anesthetic nerve block in area of biopsy. After sample has been obtained, small compressive wrap will be applied to procedure site.

Skin Biopsy

This test is utilized to assess for various skin disorders including, skin cancers, recurring warts, non-healing wounds, abnormal appearing calluses, etc. This test will help verify and confirm if lesion is malignant or benign. Confirmation from this test will help us better direct your treatment. Skin sample is obtained of the area of concern.

What to expect?

Biopsy would be performed with local anesthetic nerve block in area of biopsy. After sample has been obtained, small compressive wrap will be applied to procedure site.

Nail Biopsy

This test is utilized to assess for various nail conditions, including fungus, nail appearance associated with systemic issues, etc. This test will help us direct your treatment options for the nail condition.
